From December 10th-12th, 2008 in honour of the International Children Day, the Museum organised a series of events dedicated to all those who worked in the industrial sector of Syros from an early age, and to all the children working and studying today.
The stories of those who, albeit underage, worked in the once flourishing industrial sector of Syros, moved children and adults alike, as scenes of hard child labour of past decades unfolded before their eyes. The stories of Michael Pelekanos and Kostas Varveris, sampled from the Museum Oral History Archive, were read alongside those of others who wished to remain anonymous.
