The Hermoupolis Seminars are organised by the Institute for Neohellenic Research, in partnership with the Scientific and Educational Foundation of the Cyclades, and take place once a year in Syros, during the first fortnight of July.
Since their inception in 1984, the Hermoupolis Seminars have provided the means for a fruitful academic exchange on current issues of the humanities.
Their constant aim has been the reinforcement of a transdisciplinary dialogue, with the participation of scientists and thinkers from Greece, the EU and several overseas institutions, set in a familiar environment that preserves important academic characteristics while maintaining an informal atmosphere.
